A Tierra Magnifica Wedding

All weddings at Tierra Magnifica are beautiful and memorable in their own unique way.  Recently, Alyssa and Fernando held their destination wedding with us and we were lucky enough to catch to up with them afterwards for a full recap of the event.

Thank you Alyssa and Fernando!

Tell me about the photo with the older man and the little boy.  Who are they? It's a fantastic photo
This is a photo of Fernando’s nephew and father – they are fast friends and pretty inseparable. Jacobo (nearly 2 years old) is the first child in the generation and we were excited to have him there with us at TM.

Why not have a great toast at-the-ready?

Be the hero when a toast is called for.  No need find yourself without the right words  - have a few short and sweet toasts about marriage chambered.

remove temptation

The sign above seems to say it all, doesn't it?  But there is sure to be that one guest who thinks the rules don't apply or that they can sneak a quick shot in unnoticed.

Perhaps a re-posting of this famous Facebook post from Australian photographer Thomas Stewart, who says guests can inadvertently ruin the moment (and has the photographic evidence to prove it!).

Announcing your wedding

photo: weddingpaperdivas.com
Whether you're headed to a destination  or not, there will always be a group of people that for one reason or another are not invited to your wedding.  Friends of friends, co-workers and even clients may be those kinds of people with whom you want to share the news.

This EmilyPost.com article gives the official etiquette for wording and timing.  And the ideas abound on just how to spread the word, from a simple Facebook posting to a more formal, printed announcement, like the one above from WeddingPaperDivas.com.
